We are delighted to announce that our positive body image and self esteem campaign Fresh Faced Friday will be back for it 4th year, with the national campaign date set for 8th September.
“Last year saw over 50 schools and community groups run activities or events” said Lynsey McLeod, Project Officer “The students are really passionate about the topic as they are either battling with issues themselves, or see friends having a hard time feeling confident about who they are and how they look. This passion combined with their creativity saw fantastic events held last year.”
Schools can once again register to receive an event pack, which contains posters etc to promote their activities and event, an event guide full of ideas inspired by events held over the last few years, as well as worksheets teachers can use to run in class activities on the topic, including body image and the media.
“Even though the campaign day is the 8th September, this year we will be inviting schools and individuals to also join us in the lead up, and post campaign day by investigating and talking about a different body image related theme each month, for example; Proud of Me March, Appreciative April, Media Magic May and Naturally Positive November. Contact Lynsey for the new Fresh Faced Friday monthly challenge cards to help you get inspired and talking about body image with your students ready for the 8th September.
